12 Essential Accessories for Your Chromebook 2022

Bluetooth or Wireless

Trackpads are okay, but nothing beats a good mouse! This mouse has a nice slim shape that makes it easy to slip into your bag and go. You can either use it with Bluetooth or you can use the tiny little Wireless receiver that stores underneath the mouse’s magnetic top plate.

Lightweight and comfortable

The Logitech Signature M650 mouse has been around for years, and it remains a staple in Logitech’s lineup. It’s easily one of the most comfortable ways to interact with your Chromebook, and you can use it with Bluetooth or the included dongle.

All the ergonomics

Trying to use your Chromebook’s trackpad all day likely will result in a bit of fatigue. The Kensington Orbit Trackball aims to provide a more ergonomic solution, as you navigate the interface with the trackball and make your selections using the side buttons.

Get the basics

This combo kit from ASUS includes both a wired mouse and keyboard. It’s designed with ChromeOS at heart, as evidenced by the “Everything” key which replaces the Caps Lock. You won’t find any crazy or unique features but instead can enjoy a “set it and forget it” solution. 

Premium keyboard

The Brydge C-Type has been around for a few years, but it arguably remains the most premium ChromeOS keyboard out there. It features an aluminum body and keyframe, while also supporting either Bluetooth or USB-C connections. 

One-size-fits-most

Lenovo offers quite a few ‘Works with Chromebook’ accessories, but its USI Pen is likely the most popular. With the exception of the 2022 Duet 3, this stylus will work with practically any recently-released Chromebook. 

Third-party alternative

With the Penoval USI150 Stylus Pen, you’re getting a similar design to that of the Lenovo USI Pen, just from a different company. There’s a replacement nib in the packaging, and Penoval is quickly turning into the go-to solution for your USI needs.

Portable drawing

While many of the best Chromebooks offer a touchscreen complete with USI support, it’s not always a precise experience. That’s where the Wacom Intuos S with Bluetooth comes in, as this drawing tablet is excellent for graphic designers, or for the classroom.

Speedy super-charger

While there are a lot of USB-C chargers out there, not all of them are part of the ‘Works with Chromebook’ program. That’s not a problem with the Lenovo 65W Power Adapter, as this will easily charge pretty much any Chromebook you come across.

Dock it up

If you need a docking station to connect your Chromebook to a monitor, it doesn’t get much better than the Acer D501 Docking Station. There are plenty of ports, including Ethernet, USB-C HDMI, and even DisplayPort. The only “requirement” is that your Chromebook will need a USB 3.1 port available.

Move to 4K

ChromeOS is bringing support for faster refresh rates, making this a perfect monitor for pretty much anybody.

Double your screen space

Chromebooks are nice and portable, but that also means they don’t have huge screens. When you’re at a desk, being able to connect up a second screen can greatly boost your productivity — or at least let you watch Twitch fullscreen while doing your homework.
